Dr.Raphael Sofoluke, Founder & CEO, UK Black Business Show, UK Black Business Week, Birmingham Black Business Show & Black Tech Achievement AwardsDr. Raphael Sofoluke is a serial entrepreneur, author, and visionary. He is the Founder and CEO behind several transformative and influential initiatives including the UK Black Business Show, UK Black BusinessWeek, Birmingham Black Business Show, Black Tech Achievement Awards in the UK and US, and Soar, the first bank-backed membership platform for Black entrepreneurs. The UK Black Business Week marks the first and only dedicated week in the UK for Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and allies. Founded in 2017, the UK Black Business Show is an annual conference and exhibition held during Black History Month. It aims to highlight and promote businesses founded by members of the Black community as well as showcase some of the amazing Black professionals and entrepreneurs within the community. Endorsed by notable figures such as London Mayor Sadiq Khan and MP David Lammy, the show has become the number one event in the UK to attend during Black History Month. The show offers attendees invaluable insights and advice from the UK's leading Black business professionals. Raphael co-authored "Twice as Hard" with his wife, published by DK (Penguin Random House) in June 2021. The book shares lessons from 40 Black trailblazers across the UK and US, addressing the challenges faced by Black individuals in predominantly white spaces and providing strategies for success. It includes interviews with notable figures like Mathew Knowles, Trevor Nelson MBE, and Bianca Miller. Raphael also signed a book deal with Penguin Business for his second book, "Together We Thrive," focusing on the importance of community, set for release in September 2024. His new book has been endorsed by several key figures.
