After a decade of experience in natural haircare, Kameese launched Nylah's in 2018, using only 100% natural, sustainably sourced ingredients in her products. Her passion for helping others led her to collaborate with cosmetic scientists, trichologists and herbalists, creating a haircare line that perfectly blends nature and science and is formulated for Afro-textured and curly hair. Kameese's entrepreneurial journey is filled with remarkable milestones. After her appearance on BBC's Dragon's Den in 2021, her bold decision to turn down a GBP50,000 investment led to Nylah's organically expanding by over 1,000% within its first year. In its second year, Nylah's secured a GBP540,000 investment from the Birmingham Co-Investment Fund, the largest venture capital raised by a Black woman in Birmingham.
