Amanda Creak
Amanda Creak is a Managing Director and the EMEA Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Technology at Morgan Stanley. She is also Global Head of Technology Risk and a member of the Firm’s EMEA Operating Committee. As EMEA CIO, Amanda manages the EMEA technology footprint and establishes the organizational structure, processes, policies, systems and controls across all Firm locations in the EMEA region. Before this, Amanda was the EMEA Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Transformation Lead for the Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience division.
As Global Head of Technology Risk, Amanda is responsible for oversight of technology risk, resilience, and response across the Firm, ensuring a strategic and cohesive approach to managing complex and evolving risks.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2021, Amanda was the EMEA CISO at Goldman Sachs and led the Global Technology Risk Governance team. She began her career in 1991 at the U.K.’s Ministry of Defence as a systems developer, gaining experience in the division that became the current National Cyber Security Centre. Next, she was part of Ernst and Young’s UK cyber security leadership team delivering a wide range of critical cyber security engagements and multi-million dollar investment programs for financial services clients.
Amanda holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University College of Swansea. She is a co-chair of the Bank of England CIO Forum.
