Femi Adedimeji

R&D Principal Technologist of Innovation, AVEVA

Femi Adedimeji is R&D Principal Technologist of Innovation at AVEVA. She has over 12 years’ experience in engineering, technical training and programme management within the industrial software technology sector.

As Principal Technologist, Innovation she nurtures and drives a culture of innovation across multidisciplinary groups - empowering and equipping teams to apply their creativity and knowledge to solve the problems of now and the future!

With a passion for innovation and a strong interest in team dynamics, she uses her skills to help teams understand their challenges, problem solve more effectively and do better collaborative work.

Committed to reshaping how individuals, teams and organisations think about and implement innovation, she has created an internal innovation community to help foster a culture of innovation. The community educates, inspires and showcases diverse and oftentimes hidden aspects of innovation from around the company, occasionally bringing in external inspiration too. She strongly believes that everyone should have access to the tools to enable them to think differently and create value within their teams, which led her to create a problem-solving workshop to support teams to create momentum on challenges they are facing, and discover valuable potential solutions.

She has quickly become a trusted partner within and outside the company; leading her to be invited to curate and deliver a week-long innovation program for AVEVA’s first cohort of HBCU students in 2024 and give a keynote presentation at BlackInTech Summit Berlin 2024, which underscored the importance of our creative-thinking skills for future-proofing ourselves within the dynamic technology landscape.

She carries her enthusiasm for innovation beyond her role. She is part of the founding team for one of AVEVA’s employees resource groups, BLACK Voices @ AVEVA having previously served as chair and playing a key role in developing the strategy and structure of the group.

She is involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), having sat on the advisory board for 3 years from 2022 – 2024. She currently part of the founding team of the SWE Germany Southwest affiliate. As part of the team, she curates events to bring like-minded people in the region together to connect and delve into the latest trends in engineering and technology.

Her impact has been recognised both internally and externally, as a 2024 recipient of AVEVA CEO Award and as a finalist for the Innovation Champion award at the Black Tech Achievement Awards 2023.
