A dynamic and progressive leader, Fumbi Banjoko has spent two decades building, coaching, and empowering high-performing teams across public and private sectors, consistently exceeding multi-million-pound revenue goals. Currently based in London, Fumbi brings strategic execution and a passion for cultural transformation to every role, driving business growth while fostering inclusive workplaces that strengthen engagement, employee retention, and long-term success.
Since pivoting into FinTech five years ago, Fumbi has become a recognised champion for greater representation of women and Black professionals. At Visa, Fumbi spearheaded initiatives to expand female talent pipelines and launched the first cultural Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Currencycloud. As the founder of Bl@CC (Black at Currencycloud), Fumbi created a thriving community that supported the growth, success, and retention of Black employees, ensuring they were recognised as valued contributors and future leaders within the organisation.
A passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, Fumbi mentors secondary school students as well as emerging leaders through Money 20/20’s Amplify and Rise Up programmes, regularly engaging with C-level executives to champion leadership opportunities for women and employees of colour. Fumbi’s commitment to “walking the talk” is evident in both professional and personal spheres, including co-caring for foster children and working with adults with learning difficulties - demonstrating high emotional intelligence to support individuals in achieving their goals.
As Senior Director of Global Sales Development, Fumbi leads teams across APAC, CEMEA, Europe, Latin America, Caribbean and North America. Driving ambitious growth plans and providing global best practice guidance. Under Fumbi’s leadership, the team has become an incubator for talent within Visa, with multiple employees promoted into New Business Sales, Account Management, Commercial, and Strategy roles. Fumbi’s journey through FinTech, Real Estate, Government and the Entertainment sector reflect a consistent drive to disrupt the status quo and improve lives through technology and community.
