He is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kugali Media, a pioneering visual entertainment company redefining African narratives through animation, comics, and immersive media.
Hamid’s creative journey spans some of Hollywood’s most iconic productions, including The Lion King (2019), Dumbo (2019), The Predator (2018), The Darkest Minds (2018), and Dolittle (2020). His most groundbreaking achievement is Iwaju, a first-of-its-kind African sci-fi series co-created with Walt Disney Animation Studios , marking the first external studio collaboration in Disney’s 100-year history. As co-creator and production designer, Hamid helped shape a story that earned three Emmy nominations and international acclaim.
