Nnamdi Emelifeonwu

Co-Founder & CEO, Definely

Nnamdi began his career as a solicitor at Magic Circle law firm Freshfields, where he spent four and a half years as a finance lawyer. There, he met his co-founder, Feargus MacDaeid, one of the few registered blind solicitors practising in the City.

Motivated by Feargus’s experience navigating legal documents with a visual impairment, they set out to build a tool to improve accessibility. In the process, they uncovered a broader opportunity to transform how everyone reads and works with legal documents. That vision became Definely, which launched in 2020.

Today, Definely is used by some of the world’s leading law firms, financial institutions, and multinational corporations, including A&O Shearman, Slaughter and May, JP Morgan, IKEA, and Samsung. As one of the few Black founders in the UK to raise over $40 million in venture capital, he actively supports and advises aspiring entrepreneurs from the BAME community.
