Phillip joined HSBC in 2014 and is currently Head of Portfolio & Specialist Coverage within SME Business Banking. He leads a national team supporting businesses and communities across the UK, with a particular focus on helping small and medium-sized enterprises access the right expertise and funding to grow sustainably. Previously, Phillip was Head of Lending for Global Business Banking, partnering with colleagues across international markets to support SME clients as they expanded, scaled and delivered on their ambitions. His broader career spans risk management, relationship management, small business support, and corporate turnaround, giving him a practical, end-to-end view of the challenges businesses face and how to navigate them. Phillip is a committed advocate for equity and inclusion and is recognised as a trusted mentor and coach to colleagues at all stages of their careers.
