Ryan is the founder and CEO of Borough 22, the award-winning inclusive bakery behind some of the UK’s most recognised gluten-free and vegan treats. What began as a home-based business has grown into a seven-figure brand, with its own dedicated production facility, a permanent concession in Selfridges London and an expanding presence across retail, delivery and wholesale. Borough 22 was named Product of the Year at the Free From Food Awards 2023 and again in 2026 and Bakery Product of the Year at the British Baker Awards 2025. Ryan was also named a winner of the Channel 4 x Lloyds Black in Business programme and Be Inclusive Pastry Chef of the Year 2023. He is passionate about building an ambitious business without losing sight of the product, the customer or the financial and operational realities behind sustainable growth.
