Valerie is a Senior Credit Solution Specialist at RBC Wealth Management and Founder of Black in Fintech (BIF), a network connecting Black talent, founders and operators across the fintech ecosystem. BIF has grown into a platform for events, partnerships and pathways across the UK, with a mission to close the gap between fintech’s promise of financial inclusion and the communities it often leaves out. Valerie’s career is rooted in product management and lending innovation, with experience working across banking, fintech scale-ups and startup advisory. She also holds global ambassador roles for tech initiatives including Fintech Meetup Europe, the Africa Tech Index and the MACH Alliance. She has been named on the Women in Fintech Powerlist, Inspiring Fifty Women in Tech, and spoken at Money20/20, UK Fintech Week and some of the UK’s largest fintech podcasts.
