Velisa is a senior HR professional with over a decade of experience and co-host of the Everybody Hates HR Podcast. She specialises in Employee Relations, working across a range of industries including FMCG, recruitment, education and tech. In 2020, she launched Black and HR, now known as Haus of HR, an educational platform and community through which she creates accessible HR content, explores workplace issues and dissects recent Employment Tribunal cases. Velisa is also co-author of the forthcoming Everybody Hates HR, where she brings this perspective alongside her extensive Employee Relations experience to provide an honest and practical look at navigating the world of work. Outside of her HR career, Velisa is a mum of two, an experience that has reshaped both how she approaches her own career and how she supports others in the workplace.
